Victor Simon

Victor grew up in the suburbs of Montreal, where his passion for sports and physical activity became a constant in his life. He enthusiastically engaged in outdoor activities, such as soccer, roller-hockey, and skiing, whenever the opportunity arose. During high school, Victor joined the varsity basketball team, where he thrived on the camaraderie and dedication of team environments, eventually achieving playoff  success at the provincial level in 2011.

Subsequently, Victor ventured into high school basketball coaching, which sparked his interest in pursuing a multi-disciplinary degree in kinesiology. He completed his degree at the University of British Columbia in 2022 and is committed to providing a client-centered approach, believing that exercise is the best medicine.

As a kinesiologist, Victor’s ultimate goal is to help clients take an active role in their rehabilitation to develop a sense of autonomy during injury management and to pursue their strength and movement goals. He is firmly committed to empowering clients by helping them reframe their beliefs about their pain experience, enabling them to recognize that their body is robust and adaptable to change when given the appropriate levels of progressive exercise stimulus.

These days, Victor keeps up with a combination of resistance training and cycling. He also connects with his community through weekly recreational basketball and co-ed soccer and is constantly looking to take advantage of British Columbia’s magnificent hiking trails.
